Judging for the Honey Show 2016, held at the Fenland Country Fair, Stow-cum-Quy, on 27-29 August (the Bank Holiday weekend), is now complete. We had an astonishing 324 entries from 46 people – a record for as long as we can remember – and the trophies for various classes have been won by several different people. The judges commented that they were impressed that the standard of entries was higher than in previous years, too, resulting in more competition for prizes. View the full list of results…

As well as having the association’s yearly competition, with entries of honey, wax, frames from the hive, mead, photography and cookery, we had live bees (behind glass!) to look at, local honey to buy, and you could try your hand at rolling candles, too.
